| There will never be another Noor Jehan |

The sky may go starless and the night may turn moonless when Noor Jehan does'nt sing.She is the only singer, who can really sing, if you judge by technical performance of her voice rendering. The most perfect pitch, the incomparable depth, breadth, range, manipulations and control of voice is only in Noor Jehan. Her voice is velvet soft, satin smooth, sweeter than honey and has flow that no other singer in history has or will ever emulate. Let me write a verse on her as such:
There will be other songs to sing
An other fall, an other spring
But, about you Noor Jehan, it is so true
There'll never be, an other you.
She is the spring in our lives and i must translate two great songs of her with sense of spring with verses as such:
"Dil ki dharkne tujeh pukaren
Aa ja balam aai baharen"
These lyrics from her epic film Dopatta can be translated;
" My heart beats call you, o my dear
Come my love, the spring is here"
And there is spring of her in an other great song
"Mundia sialkotia" with lyrics like:
"Chiti dud chandni, te rut ve bahar di
Nadi sade piar wali thatan piay mardi
Cheti cheti aa".
With lyricized translation into english, this song will be as such:
"The milk white is the moon light
And the weather is spring to be
See our stream of love is roaring
Hurry, hurry, please come to me".
I tell my friend a serious joke about Noor Jehan. When God will be sending people to heaven or hell, Noor Jehan will be sent neither to heaven nor to hell. God will keep her for her voice.
